***The Coach Pitch season will begin with practice starting about April 3rd and will end around June 15th***

***Games will be held on weeknight evenings at 6:00pm***


Coach Pitch is offered to 1st and 2nd grade kids. However, if a kindergartener has already played one or two years of T-Ball, he or she may move up to Coach Pitch if approved by SYS.

Cost is $85.

Coach Pitch teams are co-ed.

During the registration process, parents may make a special request for a specific coach or for their child to be placed on a team with another specific player. SYS will make every effort to accommodate these requests, however, it is not guaranteed.

Coach Pitch practices generally begin in late March or early April. The practice schedule (days, times, locations) is determined by each team's coaching staff. 

Coach Pitch teams generally practice twice per week until games begin. Once games begin, most teams will then only practice once per week.

Coach Pitch games generally begin the third week in April and go through the second or third week of June.

Coach Pitch games will be played on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm. Games will be played in Stayton, Sublimity, Scio, Mehama and Mill City.

Coach Pitch teams will generally have two games per week, though there is an occasional bye. 

Coach Pitch players must have their own glove, batting helmet, and bat.  Bats can be shared with other players, if a player does not have their own bat.

Coach Pitch players will be provided with a team t-shirt and hat as a uniform. Players may wear baseball pants, sweats, or shorts. 

Coach Pitch players may wear cleats or tennis shoes.
