For those who are not able to make it to the evaluation clinic, please contact us as soon as possible to make other arrangements.

During the clinic, players are evaluated on their baseball skill and ability. This is necessary in order to be able to place the players on the team most appropriate for them.

JBO has three skills divisions:
National - recreational level of play
American - semi-competitive level of play
Federal - highly competitive level of play

SYS generally fields team in the National and American skills divisions. However, this is subject to change based on how many teams we have each season.

Practices generally begin mid to late March, depending on the team. The practice schedule (days, times, locations) is determined by each team's coaching staff.

Teams generally practice 2-3 times per week depending on the age group and skill level.

JBO games generally begin the first or second week of May and regular season games are played into early July, if a team makes the post season games may go until the 3rd weekend of July.  All players are expected to finish the season, if your child has a reason why they would not be able to play until late July please let SYS know ASAP.  If your player does not finish the season, it may affect future registrations.

JBO players must have their own glove, batting helmet and bat. Bats can be shared with other players.  If a player has their own bat, it must meet the JBO requirements.

JBO players will be provided with a team jersey and hat as a uniform. Players may be required to purchase baseball pants, belt, and socks as requested by the coaching staff.

JBO players must wear a protective cup during all practices and games.

JBO players must wear cleats (metal spikes allowed for Seniors only).
